Healthy Ageing

MIDHAS Working Group: Healthy Ageing

MIDHAS' recently launched interdisciplinary Working Group on Healthy Ageing focuses on the links between ageing, metabolism, inflammation, and musculoskeletal health.
The growing group aims to better understand ageing processes at the cellular and molecular level to inform prevention and intervention strategies promoting a longer healthspan.

Dr. Ubags leads experimental and translational research in the Division of Pulmonology at CHUV. Her work explores how early-life immune and microbiome factors shape susceptibility to respiratory disease across the lifespan. She received the ERS Early Career Member Award 2025.

At the event “Aktuelle Forschung zu Entzündung, Stoffwechsel, Muskel & Knochen – Erleben. Verstehen. Mitgestalten.”, participants received insights into research projects and engaged with researchers to actively shape the future research agenda.

Science Night 2025

At 'Lange Nacht der Forschung', we took participants on an interactive journey through our clinical research spanning fundamental science, sensor technology, and clinical data.

MeHDI & ORN Launch

In August 2025, MIDHAS officially launched at Insel Campus. MeHDI & ORN members from different departments joined to learn about the vision and research efforts from fellow members, followed by lively discussions on ideas for future projects.
